What is Solana?
Solana is a public blockchain: a shared record of transfers that anyone can check. Its own coin is SOL, which pays the network's fees. USDC and USDT, coins that each track one US dollar, run on Solana too, as tokens.
We use Solana for every deposit and withdrawal. Transfers usually confirm within seconds, and network fees are usually a fraction of a cent, which we pay on your withdrawals. Because every transfer is public, you can look up any deposit or withdrawal on an explorer such as Solscan.
Good to know
- A Solana address is 43 or 44 letters and numbers. One that starts with 0x belongs to a different network.
- USDC and USDT also exist on other networks, like Ethereum. Only the Solana versions reach your balance. See Which coins and networks can I deposit?
